CASE STUDYThe Chocolate Geographer
Branding package for a small business delivering small, intimate gatherings to taste craft chocolate from around the world. The client was looking for branding and graphics to guide the chocolate tasting experience and elevate the atmosphere of the gatherings. Guided by her vision and feedback, I designed a logo, color + typography guide, and a collection of printed graphics.

A standard website or branding package has a 2-3 week turnaround time. After a short introductory call, I’ll send over a brief questionnaire to better understand your business and what you’re hoping for. Then, I’ll dig a little deeper to find ways we can root your visual identity in your local community. We’ll work together through this process with plenty of opportunities for input and feedback until the final designs are delivered.

Hi, I’m Bailee 𖤓
I moved to Moray in 2024 from the Southwest US and fell in love with the Cairngorms + coast + everything in between! Before starting Baile Design Studio, I completed a master’s degree in Interaction Design at the Glasgow School of Art. I’ve been a freelance designer for 10 years now, and taught design at Utah Tech University full-time for two years before moving to Scotland.
I’m all about fostering community through design, and believe that bespoke, place-based design can be an anchor for your business in a world awash with mass-production.
Alongside design, I love connecting with places through film photography (all photos on this site are my own!) and tasting local cuisine. My current local favorite is the ‘special’ Cullen Skink at Logie Steading.

Projects are split into two payments. 50% upfront before work begins, and the remaining 50% on completion before final files or website access are handed over. The deposit secures your place in my schedule and allows us to get started. I invoice through bank transfer and aim to make the whole process as straightforward as possible.

Every project includes two rounds of revisions. Each round gives you the opportunity to consolidate your feedback before I make changes, which tends to produce better results than lots of small back-and-forth. If you need additional revisions beyond the two included rounds, these are available at an hourly rate. I'll always be transparent about this before any extra work begins.

Absolutely! While Moray and the Scottish Highlands are where I live currently, I love working with businesses and communities remotely across the UK and beyond. Place-based design doesn't require us to be in the same place! It just means I take the time to understand you’re located, wherever that may be. All projects can be managed entirely online, from initial conversation through to final delivery. (Happy to meet up for in-person chats if you are local, of course!)
